Larissa Rai is an interdisciplinary artist located in Toronto, Ontario. Having grown up in several different countries including India, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, and now living in Canada, her interests are similarly fragmented and varied.
From a young age, Larissa displayed a budding creativity, learning Indian classical dance and immersing herself in TV shows, films, and books. In high school, her passion evolved into concrete creations through drawing, painting, and theatre production. At OCADU, she initially majored in Sculpture and Installation. However, after producing and directing her first mini film, Upside Down, she decided to synthesize her skills and experiences in the Integrated Media program.
Larissa showcased her first documentary at GradEx109 in 2024.
